Frieda Fisher-Tyler, MHS, CIH

Frieda Fisher-Tyler serves as Radiation Control Program Director for Delaware and leads the Office of Radiation Control in the Delaware Division of Public Health. She is certified in comprehensive practice by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, and worked as an Industrial Hygienist, Radiation Safety Officer and EHS Director in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, prior to transitioning to the public sector in 2002.

She currently serves as the appointed NRC State Liaison Officer for Delaware, leads the Technical Assessment team for the Delaware Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Program, acts as Administrative Agent to the Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection, and Delaware Alternate Commissioner for Delaware Health and Social Services (DHSS) Secretary Rita Landgraf on the Appalachian States Commission for Low Level Radioactive Waste (LLRW).

She received her Master of Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Hygiene and Public Health, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.
